Art criticism is the discussion of visual art.
What I like about my clay piece is the swirls and colors that I used. Also that it's smooth and shiny. Although it doesn't look like it in the picture, the lid does fit good and I think it was a creative way to lock it. What kind of technique did you use? For majority of it I used the technique called score and slip, where you make small X's on both pieces you want to connect and add water to both, then connect. I did this to connect the bottom to the middle piece, the swirls, the balls, and the rose on the top. Lastly if I could go back and do this again I would be more careful when I painted the swirls because when I painted them I got it on the middle part accidentally and it makes it look a little messy.
1.) There are various branches of creative activity, such as painting, music, literature, and dance. Obviously we're talking about creative activity, such as drawing. In my own definition, art is human creative skill, typically in a visual form such as painting, to produce works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. 15.) I think my most successful project was probably the drawing unit. The topic that I picked was makeup, I drew some of my makeup products. We used 3 mediums depending on the picture. The easiest was the drawing with the charcoal. The hardest was the one with sharpie pen because I had to come up with different techniques for the different shades. It was defiantly time consuming, along with the drawing with pencil. 18.) I enjoyed working with clay. I think I enjoyed it so much because it was a hands-on project. You could feel it and shape it with your hands instead of drawing or painting it on a piece of paper. I also like working with water paint, even though I wasn't the best at it. I liked how free it was to paint and if I messed up I could just add water to it to make most of the color disappear. It was quite annoying when I didn't know how to make the right shade of color I needed or if I couldn't find/make the right color I wanted to use. I didn't enjoy working with the paint. When I first started it I though I would like it but I actually found it frustrating. It was frustrating to me because I found it difficult to blend colors to make it look natural.

I used 9 layers in total. When I started i used tissue paper and some newspaper. Next I used a stencil and spray paint to create the circles. I used paper for multiple things. One of them was for the step of the flowers and the leaves, the one on the left is from one of my old music sheets. Then I took 3 strands of tissue paper to make the flower on the right. I used paper and newspaper again to make the flower on the left. To finish the flower off I took a bead-like-thing from a necklaces and put it as the center of the flower. I took cloth and hot glued it on for a place to put a quote I've found online. I wrote the quote in sharpie. You may see some random things of sharpie pen and I actually didn't mean to do that, at first I forgot to put the cap on the pen and drew on it so I tried to go with it.
The meaning between this is to be yourself and do what you want. Its mainly the quote that tells you the meaning. The quote says "She designed a life she loved". |
